IPR Experience
Dr. Levantovsky has decades of professional R&D experience in software and hardware product development, and is a named inventor on 16 issued patents, including 9 issued United States patents. As Director of Technology Strategy for Monotype, he oversaw and managed the development of the company’s IP portfolios (e.g., utility patents, design patents, trade secrets, etc.), working closely with outside patent counsel and being involved in all stages of portfolio development, including invention disclosure collection, vetting, and review. Dr. Levantovsky also directed and participated in the examination of many patent applications to establish property rights for both revenue generating systems and future product development. Along with portfolio development, Dr. Levantovsky also assisted in litigation matters for both patent enforcement actions and to defend against patent assertion. For example, he has served as the Expert Witness in two cases involving font technology in software applications.
